Walt Disney World has officially announced the return of its popular free water park perk for resort guests during summer 2027, though the benefit will now exclude certain accommodation options for the first time. The complimentary admission programme will be back with notable changes that British families should consider when planning their Florida holiday.
The resort chain has confirmed that eligible Disney hotel guests will once again enjoy free admission to either Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon water parks on their check-in day during selected summer dates in 2027.
Which Disney World Hotels Qualify for Free Water Park Access?
For 2027, the Walt Disney World water park benefit will be available to guests staying at Disney Resorts Collection hotels, but with one significant exclusion. The Campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort will no longer be eligible for this complimentary perk.
This marks the first time Disney has removed an accommodation type from the programme. Previously, all Disney resort guests, including those camping at Fort Wilderness, could take advantage of the free water park admission on their arrival day.
Current eligible properties include luxury options like Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, family-friendly choices such as Disney's Art of Animation Resort, and moderate resorts like Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort. The full list of qualifying hotels remains extensive, covering deluxe, deluxe villa, and moderate resort categories.
When Will the Free Disney World Water Park Days Be Available?
Disney has not yet released specific dates for the 2027 programme, stating only that it will run during "summer 2027." For reference, the 2026 benefit period extends from May 26th through September 8th, suggesting British families can expect similar timing for the following year.
Both of Disney's water parks, Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon, are expected to operate simultaneously during the peak summer period, giving guests choice between the ski lodge-themed Blizzard Beach and the tropical paradise of Typhoon Lagoon.
How Much Could This Disney Water Park Perk Save British Families?
Single-day water park tickets at Walt Disney World typically cost around $75 (approximately £59) per person, making this Disney World resort benefit particularly valuable for families. A family of four could save roughly £236 by taking advantage of the complimentary admission on their check-in day.
