A newly filed permit suggests preparations are officially underway for a Bluey-themed experience coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom later this year.
Walt Disney World has submitted a permit tied to work at Conservation Station, part of the Rafiki’s Planet Watch area. The filing contracts Maddox Electric Company to complete electrical upgrades, including the installation of a new transformer, disconnects, and upgraded electrical panels. While the permit itself does not name Bluey directly, the work aligns with previously announced plans for a Bluey experience set to open this summer.
When the experience launches, guests can expect interactive fun with Bluey and Bingo, including opportunities to play games inspired by the show and take part in music and dancing. A dedicated meet and greet with Bluey and Bingo is also planned. In keeping with Animal Kingdom’s educational focus, the experience will feature animals native to Australia, Bluey’s home country.
Conservation Station is located within Rafiki’s Planet Watch and is reached via the Wildlife Express Train, which runs until 4:30 p.m. The area already offers guests a look inside the veterinary treatment room, nutrition centre, science exhibits, and viewing windows for amphibians, reptiles, and invertebrates.
Currently, Conservation Station is also home to The Animation Experience, a 25-minute guided drawing class. Disney has previously indicated that this offering will relocate to the new Magic of Disney Animation experience at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, also opening this summer. If that move goes ahead, it would free up space for the Bluey experience to take over.
With permits now filed and construction prep underway, it looks like Bluey’s arrival at Disney’s Animal Kingdom is moving from announcement to reality.
Are you looking forward to seeing Bluey and Bingo at Walt Disney World this summer?
