Construction continues to move forward on the upcoming Encanto themed attraction at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and Cast Members are already making their mark in a very special way.
Jeff Vahle**, President of Walt Disney World Resort, recently shared photos of a steel beam that will be permanently installed within the new attraction. Before it was put into place, Cast Members at Animal Kingdom were invited to sign the beam, leaving behind a lasting piece of Disney history as the Tropical Americas area comes to life.
In the post, Vahle shared how meaningful the moment was, noting how special it felt to sign alongside the Cast Members and hear what they are most excited about as the new land takes shape. It is a small but powerful reminder of the people behind the magic and the pride they take in bringing new experiences to guests.
Interior construction on the attraction has now begun, and recent marathon runners even caught close-up glimpses of the work in progress while passing through the park. Vahle has previously described the former DinoLand U.S.A. Dinorama area as underutilised, making way for this major transformation inspired by Encanto and the wider Tropical Americas theme.
With visible progress underway and Cast Members already leaving their signatures behind the scenes, excitement continues to build for what is set to be one of Animal Kingdom’s most significant additions in years.
