Sprinkles Permanently Closes at Disney Springs as All Locations Shut Down

Sprinkles has officially closed its Disney Springs location, with the storefront now completely blacked out and no signage indicating a future reopening. The closure appears to be permanent and comes as part of a wider shutdown affecting all Sprinkles locations.

According to reports from former employees, staff were given as little as one day’s notice before operations ceased. The sudden nature of the closures has raised concerns among fans of the brand and those impacted by the abrupt job losses.

The Sprinkles bakery at Disney Springs first opened in 2016 as part of the major reimagining of the district, which transformed the former Downtown Disney into the Disney Springs guests know today. At the time, Sprinkles was a high-profile addition, known for its gourmet cupcakes and signature cupcake ATM, which quickly became a popular stop for visitors.

While Disney has not released an official statement regarding the closure, the blacked-out windows and doors strongly suggest the location will not return. There has also been no confirmation on whether another tenant will take over the space in the near future.

Sprinkles, the cupcake chain that helped popularise gourmet cupcakes nationwide, has reportedly shut down all remaining locations, marking the end of the brand’s presence both at Walt Disney World and beyond.

WDW Insider News will continue to monitor developments at Disney Springs and provide updates if Disney announces plans for the now-vacant location.
