After a festive run through the holiday season, Jungle Cruise has officially returned to its classic version at Magic Kingdom.
The popular attraction reopened in its standard form at the start of January, following the removal of the seasonal Jingle Cruise overlay. With the holidays now behind us, guests are once again boarding their riverboats for the original pun filled adventure through the jungles of Asia, Africa and South America.
During the Christmas season, Jungle Cruise transforms into Jingle Cruise, complete with festive decorations, holiday themed props and seasonal jokes delivered by the skippers. The overlay has become a much loved tradition for many guests visiting Walt Disney World during the holidays, often drawing long queues throughout November and December.
As in previous years, the transition back to the classic version happened quickly. Disney is known for completing the changeover overnight, with the attraction closing one day and reopening the next without its holiday décor. By the time guests returned, the festive elements were gone and the familiar jungle scenes were back in place.
With the overlay removed, Jungle Cruise is once again offering its timeless experience filled with corny jokes, mischievous wildlife and iconic moments that have made it a staple of Adventureland for generations.
Did you get a chance to ride Jingle Cruise this year, or are you happy to see the classic version return? Let us know your thoughts.
