Disney's Imagineering team conducted detailed 3D scans of the mountain's interior structure to strategically plan the placement of thousands of new bat elements throughout the cavernous space.
The enhanced scene now includes three distinct types of bat installations. Individual rockwork bats are carved directly into the cave walls, whilst clustered rockwork bats create dramatic groupings that appear naturally integrated into the stone formations. Additionally, over 200 animated show bats bring movement and life to the scene, contributing to the total count of more than 2,000 bats.
