The countdown is officially on. In just a few weeks, the EPCOT International Festival of the Arts will return, filling the park with colour, creativity, and interactive experiences from January 16 through February 23, 2026.

If you are visiting Walt Disney World during this period, this festival is well worth factoring into your plans. Here is what you need to know ahead of its return.

A Festival That Celebrates Creativity

With over 100 artists exhibiting their work, the EPCOT International Festival of the Arts can feel overwhelming, especially if you are trying to fit everything into a single park day. Artwork lines World Showcase, artists are often on hand to talk about their pieces, and there is something new to spot in almost every pavilion.

The best approach is not to rush. Focus on the artists and styles that catch your eye and explore World Showcase in sections rather than trying to see everything at once. The festival is designed to be enjoyed at a slower pace, with time to browse, ask questions, and take it all in.

Figment’s Brush with the Masters

One of the most popular festival activities, Figment’s Brush with the Masters, will once again return in 2026. This scavenger hunt sends guests around World Showcase in search of Figment themed artwork displayed throughout each pavilion.

Maps and stickers can be purchased at Creations Shop, Disney Traders, or World Traveler. Once you find the artwork in each pavilion, match the corresponding sticker to the correct spot on the map. When completed, return the map to one of the participating locations to receive a festival prize.

It is a simple activity, but one that encourages you to slow down and notice details you might otherwise walk past.

Interactive Experiences Around the Park

In addition to the art booths, several interactive experiences are returning this year, helping bring the festival to life:

  • Animation Academy, where guests can learn to draw Disney characters step by step

  • The Expression Section, a large scale paint by number mural that guests collectively complete over the course of the festival

  • Artful Photo Ops, featuring oversized and interactive art pieces designed for memorable photos

  • A range of festival exclusive merchandise, only available during the event

These experiences make the festival feel hands on rather than something you simply walk through.

Disney Lorcana Activities Returning

Disney has also confirmed that there will once again be activities linked to the Disney Lorcana Trading Card Game. While details remain limited for now, Disney has teased “exciting activities” tied to the game, with more information expected as opening day gets closer.

Planning Your Visit

With just weeks to go, the EPCOT International Festival of the Arts is shaping up to be one of the highlights of early 2026 at Walt Disney World. Whether you are a serious art fan or just enjoy browsing while you explore World Showcase, this festival offers something a little different from EPCOT’s other seasonal events.
