The complete 2026–2027 calendar for runDisney events has now been officially released, giving runners plenty of notice to plan their race weekends, training schedules, and Walt Disney World trips well into 2027.
Disneyland Resort runDisney events will be placed on hiatus due to ongoing construction projects. As a result, all in person race weekends during this cycle will take place at Walt Disney World Resort, alongside a growing lineup of virtual events that can be completed from anywhere.

2026 Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend
October 22–25, 2026
General registration opens February 10, 2026
The Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend returns for autumn 2026, combining race events with food and drink inspired celebrations. This weekend traditionally features a half marathon, 10K, 5K, and challenge options, with post race festivities often centred around EPCOT.
2027 Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend
January 6–10, 2027
General registration opens March 17, 2026
One of the most iconic endurance events at Walt Disney World, Marathon Weekend offers race distances for all levels, from the 5K to the full marathon. Popular challenge events such as the Dopey Challenge and Goofy’s Race and a Half are expected to return, making this a must do weekend for many runDisney veterans.
2027 Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend
February 25 – March 1, 2027
General registration opens June 2, 2026
The Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend remains one of the most in demand events on the calendar. Known for its themed costumes, character appearances, and empowering atmosphere, this weekend frequently sells out quickly once registration opens.
2027 runDisney Springtime Surprise Weekend
April 15–18, 2027
General registration opens July 7, 2026
Springtime Surprise continues to offer a flexible and evolving format, with race distances and themes typically changing year to year. This keeps the event fresh and appealing to both returning runners and first time participants.
Virtual runDisney Events
In addition to in person race weekends, several virtual events are scheduled throughout 2026, allowing runners to participate without travelling to Florida.
2026 runDisney Virtual Series
June 1 – August 31, 2026

This summer long series allows runners to complete races at their own pace while still earning official medals shipped directly to them.
2026 runDisney Virtual Spooktacular
October 1 – 31, 2026

A brand new addition to the calendar, the Virtual Spooktacular runs throughout the entire month of October and introduces a Halloween themed virtual race option for the first time.
2026 runDisney Virtual 12Ks of Christmas
December 1 – 31, 2026

Returning for the holiday season, this festive virtual event lets runners close out the year with themed medals and flexible race completion windows.
